Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information this site collects, why, and what happens to it. It is written to reflect Canadian federal privacy law, principally the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

What is collected

Only what you type into a form. That means your name, email address, phone number, and whatever details are relevant to the enquiry you are making, such as a property address for a home evaluation or your criteria for a listing alert.

Each submission also records its context: which form it came from, which page you were on, the referring page, and any campaign parameters in the URL. This is used to understand which parts of the site are useful.

Why it is collected

To respond to your enquiry. That is the primary purpose and, unless you separately consent to marketing, the only one.

Marketing consent is separate

Submitting a property enquiry, a showing request or a home evaluation does not subscribe you to anything. Marketing consent is a distinct checkbox, never pre-ticked, and the exact wording shown to you at the time is recorded alongside your consent. You can withdraw it at any time and every marketing message includes a one-click unsubscribe.

Saved properties

Properties you save are stored in your own browser using local storage. They are not transmitted, not linked to an account, and not visible to anyone else. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Who can see your information

Kaylin Smith, and the brokerage where required for the transaction. Information is not sold. It is shared with third parties only where necessary to deliver a service you asked for, or where required by law or by real estate regulation.

Retention

Enquiry records are kept as long as needed to serve you and to meet record-keeping obligations under Ontario real estate regulation. You may ask for your information to be corrected or deleted.

Your rights

You may request access to the personal information held about you, ask for corrections, or withdraw consent. Contact Kaylin using the details in the footer.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not set advertising cookies. If web analytics are enabled, they are used to understand aggregate usage. Local storage is used for saved properties and, where a form cannot be delivered, to hold your submission in your own browser.
