Accessibility

This site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and to meet obligations under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

What that means here

The site is fully operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element and a skip link to the main content. Landmarks, headings and lists use semantic HTML so assistive technology can navigate the structure. Every form control has a programmatically associated label, and validation errors are announced rather than shown only in colour.

Text meets or exceeds the required contrast ratios against its background in both the light and navy sections. Motion is decorative and every animation, transition and auto-advancing element is disabled when your system is set to reduce motion.

Images are either descriptive with alternative text, or decorative and hidden from assistive technology. Placeholder graphics currently used on the site identify themselves as placeholders rather than describing a photograph that does not exist.

Known limitations

The map view plots properties on a schematic grid rather than a licensed base map. Every pin is a real link with an accessible name giving the full address, and the same properties are always available in the grid view, which is the primary experience.
